Vacancy Description:

Due to continued success, our client, providing Asbestos specialist advice and services is currently hoping to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated and commercially focused Asbestos Business Development Manager in the Midlands region but as this position will entail extensive travel as far as Manchester we will consider applications from Staffordshire, Midlands, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally the applicant must possess the CCP asbestos qualification as a minimum and must have a proven track record working within this role and the asbestos industry.
Have hands on asbestos surveying and air-monitoring experience.
Administration and sales experience.
Asbestos/Construction industry knowledge desirable though not essential.
Must come from a strong educational, office, technical, consultancy, sales, operational, office and management background.
Possess good communication, client facing, people management, leadership, organisational and presentational skills.
Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Targeting potential Clients throughout the company's branches.
Following up project and client leads fed from the Sales lead co-ordinator.
Working closely with a regional director and branch managers to develop new opportunities in line with the growth strategy for their region.
Organise and participate in ongoing meetings with new and existing clients.
Develop strong working relationships with potential and existing clients to generate further and continued enquiries.
Undertake targeted sales campaigns to generate opportunities and contacts.
Gain feedback on quotation returns.
Understanding the market and competitors within the sector.
Maintain standards of professional practice.
Attend regular internal review and Business Development meetings.
Provide additional support to other member of the Business Development team where required.
Promote a professional company image - face to face, over the phone and email.
Responsible for time management and ensuring delivery of the above.


Able to prioritise work effectively whilst under time-pressures.
Smart disposition, flexible and willing and able to take the business to the next level.
Will be a team player whilst being able to work independently.
