Vacancy Description:

Due to consistent growth and business requirement, this well established and prominent asbestos company which is part of a large group is actively seeking for a high calibre and commercially focused Asbestos Contracts Manager, ideally based in West Midlands but will be covering contracts nationwide.

Ideally, the applicant must come from a strong management, removal, contracts, technical and office background.

Must have good formal education and IT literate.

Must be fully conversant with the asbestos industry and the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Must have good inter-personal, organizational, presentational people management, leadership, client facing and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos parameter.

Role Will Encompass:

Predominately overseeing and operating on various sectors, including commercial, public and industrial sectors.

Managing and organizing labour force.

Managing and overseeing a team of asbestos removal contracts managers, supervisors and contractors.

Assessing potential contracts, estimating and completing risk assessments, etc.

Completing tenders and PPQ's.

Carrying out audits and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and company policy.

Preparing method statements necessary for the work completed - ASB5 notification.

Managing and organizing teams to complete contracts professionally, attending meetings and developing and maintaining a good rapport with the company's mixed portfolio of clients.

Making recommendations with regards to improvements in client services.

Producing a monthly management reports using company procedures.

Ensuring that work is carried out effectively and within time line.

Ensuring that the team achieves the company's Health and Safety and standards and procedures.

Travelling extensively across the UK.


Overall, the post-holder will be versatile, astute and have the ability to deliver services effectively and at the same time have the acumen to take the business to the next level.
