Our client is an expanding consultancy and they pride themselves in delivering professional and high quality services to clients from all levels including commercial, industrial and other sectors.

Due to continuous growth of the business, they are now looking for a well experienced and versatile Legionella Risk Assessor to work from West Midlands and will include applications from Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Coventry and the surrounding areas. This role will entail covering the South West and South Wales, hence the applicant must be flexible and be prepared to travel extensively.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have significant and varied experience and skills working within this role that is carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP - L8 risk accreditation on various properties, commercial and industrial properties and within the legionella control industry.

Will have attended an approved Risk Assessment course - City and Guilds - P900 - P903 - Legionella or have had internal training courses and must have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.

Will come from a strong chemical, good educational, legionella water hygiene/water treatment and background.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.

Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.

Writing up comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports, etc.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company's large mixed portfolio of clients.


Overall, the successful candidate will be an all-rounder, have good work ethic and will have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these and at the same time have the aptitude to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Will have the ability to complete risk assessments accurately and within time scale.
