Vacancy Description:

Our client is a large multi-disciplined organization providing numerous services including asbestos, water treatment/water hygiene, engineering, consultancy and environmental. Due to growing business needs, they are now seeking the services of a smart, versatile, committed and commercially focused Acoustics Engineer in the North West and will include applications from Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the applicant must come from a good educational background - a scientific degree in Engineering or degree appertaining to Acoustics would be of great value.

Must have good communication skills, leadership, organizational, people management, consultancy, leadership, client-facing and business development skills.

Must be familiar with different other areas such like Health & Safety procedures/legislations, constructions, asbestos with regards to risks and hazards.

Must have a site card.

Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package and AutoCAD.

Must valid and varied experience working within this role and within the industries involved, including asbestos.

Purpose of the Role:

Providing professional sound and vibration consultancy services on various projects within built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and managing/controlling noise levels in various projects - industrial, commercial and others.

Conducting noise and vibration surveys.

Assessing environmental acoustics as and when required.

Providing technical leads to architects/building services and ensuring that the acoustical data is documented.

Calculating and assessing architectural acoustics which would include collating reports and recommendations.

Cross selling the company's services.

Improving the business by delivering high quality services and products.

Achieving goals, targets and plans.

Ensuring that all work is carried out accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures and policy.


In general, the successful post- holder will be flexible, of smart disposition and have the ability to multi-task and take the business forward.
