Vacancy Description:

Due to continued expansion, this successful and client based asbestos company, is eagerly seeking to employ an enthusiastic, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Contracts Manager based in and around the Bristol area. Ideally, they are looking for a professional who has hands on experience in overseeing and managing asbestos removals contracts from start through to completion. Applications will be considered from Swindon, Bath, Taunton, Oxford and the surrounding areas.


Purpose of the Role:

Carrying out management duties on medium and large-scale projects as designated by the client.

Requisites:

The applicant will come from a good educational and asbestos management background.

Will hold a strong technical knowledge of the asbestos industry.

Have significant experience working in an asbestos contract managers role.

Must have in-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety procedures and legislation pertaining to asbestos.

Hold excellent organisational, presentational, communication, client-facing and people management skills.


Duties Will Include:

Overseeing work carried out by asbestos removal teams, including asbestos supervisors and asbestos operators and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the asbestos Health & Safety procedures.

Organising and running labour.

Getting involved with preparing specifications, tender process, method statements etc.

Completing ASB5 notifications.

Meeting Key Performance Indicators.

Assessing potential contracts and providing estimates.

Making recommendations to improve client services and delivery.

Collating the information and producing monthly management reports using company procedures and guidelines.

Getting involved with Health & Safety issues, training and appraisals.

Dealing with incoming sales enquiries, etc.

Having a good client relationship - nurturing and developing a good rapport.

Identifying and winning new client accounts whilst still managing the existing accounts.

Making recommendations for improvements in client service.

Auditing.
