Our client is a leading player within asbestos and environmental industry, who provide specialist, professional and quality services to a large portfolio of clients, including blue chip and large scale industrial throughout the UK. Due to current business requirements, they are now seeking for a talented, enthusiastic, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Business Development Manager based in and around the Cumbernauld area. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an asbestos business development role and have a proven track record developing and growing new and existing asbestos accounts. Applications will be considered from East Kilbride, Edinburgh, Hamilton, Falkirk and the surrounding areas.


The applicant must come from a good educational, management, commercial sales and business development background.

Must be IT literate.

Must have excellent communication, client facing, presentation, organisational and lead and people skills.

Must be well versed with the asbestos industry guidelines, including Health & Safety procedures.

Must have a proven track record working within a business development role within the asbestos industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the company's mixed portfolio of accounts appropriately and effectively; Over-seeing key accounts performance.

Liaising with clients - building a good rapport with clients from all levels.

Dealing with tenders and quotes in a professional and effective manner.

Crossing selling the asbestos services to a cross section of sectors - generating new business leads whilst still managing existing accounts.

Helping to maximise contract values and adhering to the company's procedures.

Managing long term agreements and re-negotiating renewals, etc.

Working towards Key Performance Indicators.

In general, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible and have the acumen to manage and develop the business effectively.

Will have the ability to work with the company's mixed portfolio of clients and team from all levels and at the same time prioritize workload.
