Here is an opportunity for a smart and self-driven Asbestos Technical Consultant/Manager to join one of our prestigious and fast growing consultancy in North Wales and will include applications from Cheshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the individual must possess the P402, P403 and P404 or the equivalent - RSPH qualifications and must have significant experience working within this role and within the asbestos industry. Holding other qualifications would be advantageous.

Must come from a strong technical, operational, management, commercial, Health & Safety, consultancy background.

Must have worked for a UKAS accredited consultancy.

Must be well versed with the asbestos industry and Health & Safety procedures

Must have hands on asbestos - site work and laboratory work.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must have excellent communication skills, organizational, people and leadership skills.

Key Role:

Managing staff, including surveyors, site analysts, lab analysts and other office staff.

Working closely, managing and overseeing the technical/quality systems and at the same time improving and developing this side of the business.

Getting involved with auditing - quality checks and approving the survey reports as and when required.

Training and developing staff with regards to asbestos awareness.

Providing technical support and advice to staff to increase their asbestos knowledge.

Getting involved with the audit systems - technical reviews.

Managing documents, templates and procedures, updating and re-issuing as appropriate.

Visiting sites as and when required - managing projects effectively.

Maintaining the UKAS standards.

Building a good rapport with clients.

Managing accounts effectively and meeting targets and goals.


In general, the successful must have the ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the asbestos related legislation to clients/customers and contractors and manage the technical/operational side of the business.
