Vacancy Description:

Due to continuous growth of the business, this asbestos consultancy that provides professional advice and support services on a wide range of asbestos and environmental disciplines is actively seeking to recruit a conscientious and focused Asbestos Consultant/Auditor in the North West and will consider applications from Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire West Yorkshire or the surrounding areas.


Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the applicant must hold the P402, P403 and P404 certificates or the equivalent - RSPH, must some Internal Auditing certificates and at the same time must have varied and substantial experience in asbestos surveys and air-monitoring and within the asbestos arena.


Main Responsibilities:

Carrying out audits for the company and their portfolio of clients - that is:

Internal quality audits - sites and office location.

Re-inspections of surveys and 4 stage clearances - and ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the plans - audits.

Overseeing and auditing contractors - company and clients.

Auditing external consultancies for the clients.

Collating and producing accurate audit reports.

Getting involved with non-conformance reports internally that is audit findings, liaising and taking corrective action plans and within time scales - tracking.

Auditing technical competency of analysts and surveyors prior to authorization for technical activities.

Getting involved with continuous improvement activities - focusing on improving and complying with the quality systems and ensuring that the surveyors and analysts are technically competent.

Maintaining a good relationship with clients and management with regards to audit findings.

Dealing and reporting on all quality audit issues and providing comprehensive reports as and when required by the management.

Getting involved with training new staff and quality checking of reports as and when required.


In general, you will be smart, flexible, have good communication skills, both written and verbal, have good people management, client facing and organizational skills and must be prepared to travel.
