Vacancy Description:

This well-established and successful company are currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Legionella Operations Manager to join their workforce in the North East/Yorkshire region. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on legionella operations manager, who has a proven track record of commercially developing and growing a legionella business, to join an already successful environmental consultancy. The right candidate will help the company work towards relevant legionella accreditations and will have the opportunity to move into developing further water treatment services and training courses. Applications will be considered from West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear, Durham and the surrounding areas. However, due to the location of their other offices they would also consider applications from South Yorkshire down to the Midlands.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have a good formal education, a science degree or equivalent would also be beneficial.
Will have a strong, technical, legionella, water hygiene, operational, consultancy and management background.
A strong working knowledge of legionella and the water industry.
Previous experience in legionella operations management essential.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Competent in using Microsoft office package.

Role and Responsibilities:

Growing and developing the team/business.
Working alongside commercial team.
Resourcing and acquiring new clients whilst also managing existing accounts.
Managing the operations side of the business - visiting sites and managing contracts effectively.
Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant Health & Safety legislation.
Staff recruitment and training to company and industry standards.
Dealing with all manner of paperwork including, but not limited to, tenders and quotations.
Maintaining a strong working relationship with clients.
