Job Description
A valuable opportunity has arisen within a well-established asbestos company with a national presence and excellent reputation. This company is currently recruiting for an experienced, versatile and dynamic Asbestos Contract/Technical Manager based in and around the London area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong technical asbestos background, experienced in completing risk assessments, method statements, writing tenders. The successful postholder will also utilise their extensive technical asbestos knowledge and experience to develop and enhance the technical side of the business. Applications from Slough, Enfield, Romford, St. Albans and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold the P402/403/404 qualifications or the equivalent RSPH or S301/CCP qualifications.
Must come from a strong technical, quality, auditing, management, asbestos background.
Previous experience within this role for a UKAS accredited company will be beneficial.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient IT skills, including competency in MS Office applications.
Be fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures in regards to asbestos.
Duties of the Role:
Ensure a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects to ensure UKAS accreditation is maintained.
Carry out and co-ordinate audits, inspections and quality control – maintaining UKAS to ISO 17020 & 17025 standard accreditation.
Maintain and develop new and existing contracts – ensuring contract operations are co-ordinated with clients and carried out effectively.
Comply with UKAS documentation and procedures.
Update and maintain the company’s systems and equipment records effectively.
Have the ability to oversee the company’s quality/technical system and drive forward in improving and developing the technical side of the business.
Manage the operations side of the business on a daily basis.
Oversee site, sales, and administrative staff.
Produce and process with invoices, tenders, quotations, maintain personnel records, spreadsheets and all other relevant paperwork.
Attend sites and carry out audits as required.
Produce accurate asbestos reports, method statements, risk assessment and associated site paperwork.
Ensure projects are completed within the specified time scales.
Develop new business leads, taking the business to the next level.
Liaise with the company’s clients on a regular basis.
