Job Description
Our client is a highly regarded asbestos consultancy who provide professional asbestos management services to clients across Scotland and the rest of the UK. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced and committed Asbestos Contracts Manager based in and around the Glasgow area. The successful candidate will come from an asbestos removals background and will be experienced in the development and management of new and existing contracts. They will also be experienced in overseeing the completion of projects and will be a highly organised individual that is operationally focused. Consideration will also be given to strong asbestos consultants or asbestos supervisors looking to take the step in their career. Applications from Hamilton, Kilmarnock, Strathaven, Cumnock and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & experience:
Will ideally come from a strong asbestos removals, contracts and management background. Although consideration will also be given to strong asbestos consultants or asbestos supervisors looking to take the step in their career.
Previous experience in a contracts manager role within the asbestos industry.
Excellent working knowledge of asbestos Health and Safety legislations/procedures.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Role:
Contract Managing Asbestos Removal projects.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the correct Health & Safety procedures and client specification.
Completing risk assessments, method statements, writing tenders, PPQs, specifications and ASB5 notifications.
Attending sites to monitor standards and compliance.
Achieving KPI’s.
Assessing potential contracts.
Organisation of staff to achieve completion of contracts.
Collating and producing management reports in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
Assist with Health & Safety training/issues.
Dealing with incoming sales enquiries.
Liaising with the company’s clients in a professional manner.
Generating new business leads.
