Job Description

Due to continuous growth of the business, one of the top players with the asbestos market is actively seeking the services of an enthusiastic, focused and self-driven Asbestos Contracts Manager based in and around the London area. Undertaking daily tasks such as, managing staff, supervising works carried out by asbestos removal teams and organising and managing labour running. Applications from Ashford, Basildon, Southend-on-sea, Maidstone and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

The individual must come from a good educational, technical, removals, supervisory, contracts, management, and training, office and project management background and at the same must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos field.

Must be fully conversant with the Health and Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.

Must have good organizational, presentation, people management, leadership, client facing and management skills.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must be familiar with the asbestos industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing staff, Asbestos Operatives, office and carrying out managerial duties on both medium and large scaled contracts.

Overseeing work carried out by asbestos removal teams and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures.

Organizing and managing labour running.

Completing risk assessments and method statements and writing tenders, PPQs, specifications, appraisals and ASB5 notifications.

Meeting Key Performance Indicators.

Assessing potential contracts and estimating.

Managing and organizing teams/staff to complete contracts effectively and within time scale.

Making recommendations and improving client service and delivery.

Collating and producing monthly management reports using company procedures and guidelines.

Getting involved with the Health & Safety issues and training

Dealing with incoming sales enquiries, etc.

Getting in involved with training.

Liaising with the company’s existing and new clients.

Generating new business leads.

Attributes:

In general, the successful post-holder will be commercially focused and astute and have the acumen to run the business effectively and at the same time take the business to the next level.

Must be prepared to travel to sites as per client’s requirements.
