Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Contracts / Operations Manager.
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Salary / Benefits £35k – £65k + Benefits + Company Vehicle.
Successful Asbestos Removal Contractor now seeks an experienced Contracts Manager. Due to progressive contract wins, the client is looking to build their team and would consider applications from candidates across Essex and East Anglia. A successful track record in managing licensed/ none licensed contracts ranging in size for both local authority and commercial clients is mandatory, alongside the ability to price and quote for new works and build long standing relationships with clients. A background in site analytical (P403/P404) would also be beneficial to the role.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Stowmarket, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Harwich, Sudbury, Stowmarket, Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea, Saffron Walden, Braintree, Maldon, Brentwood, Cheshunt, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Diss, Thetford, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Fakenham, Swaffham, Downham Market, King’s Lynn, Wisbech, March, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough.
Experience & Qualifications:
” Proven track record in the industry; managing Asbestos removals for various clients.
” Holding the ARCA contracts manager ticket is beneficial to the role.
” Will have strong contracts management / operational / leadership skills.
” Excellent knowledge of relevant Health and Safety guidelines including HSG 264 / HSG 248 guidelines.
” Experience in an analytical background would be beneficial to the role.
” Excellent IT skills, able to produce detailed reports, RAMS, and quotes.
” Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and face to face.
” Able to organise work load in line with company and client needs.
The Role:
” Scoping for new works and attending site visits, pricing competitively.
” Overseeing a team of Supervisors an Operatives; delegating works.
” Managing licenced and non-licenced asbestos removal projects.
” Producing site specific RAMS.
” Providing support over the phone and via email to clients, and liaising with stakeholders.
” Ensuring compliance to HSE across projects and successfully passing audits.
” Undertaking appraisals for staff, carrying / organising training where required.
” Writing and submission of ASB5’s to HSE.
” Liaising with external suppliers; arranging waste disposal and on/ off hire equipment.
” Attending client pre start and update meetings.
” Ensuring smooth day to day running of operations.
