Job Description

Our client is an expanding and growing UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy and do to current state of the business, they are actively seeking for an organised and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst/Administrator to join them in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 certificate and will be experienced in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples as well as administrative duties such as reports and processing paperwork. Consideration will be given to applications from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must possess the P401 qualification and at the same time must have administrative/office experience, although the role will entail bulk analysis mainly.
Mus have a proven track record working in a laboratory and within the asbestos parameter.
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – using the Database.

Key aspects of the Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content efficiently and adhering to UKAS regulations.
Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.
Building and maintaining a good working relation with customers/clients.
Getting involved with other laboratory as and when required.
Other duties will encompass organizing, multitasking and carrying out administrative duties.
Entering data and analyzing and checking reports.
Completing and uploading reports as and when required.
Liaising and assisting clients with regards to enquiries.
Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.
