Our client is a widely recognised asbestos company with an excellent reputation for delivering quality analytical and surveying duties. They are actively seeking to an experienced and committed Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Birmingham area. The ideal applicant will hold the P401 certificate and will be experienced in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples. Consideration will be given to applications from Bromsgrove, Solihull, Dudley, Walsall and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Previous experience:
The applicant must possess the P401 certificate or equivalent qualifications.
Must have previous experience working within this role and within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.
Must have good communication skills – both written and verbal.
Must have proficient IT skills – including using the Microsoft Office Package.
Key duties within the role:
Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
Preparing samples for analysis.
Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content and reporting analytical findings.
Completing analysis test sheets accurately as and when required.
Completing and submitting accurate reports as and when required.
Getting involved with other laboratory duties and other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Overall, the successful postholder will demonstrate an excellent work ethic as well as an adaptable approach to their work.
