Job Description

An independent and fast growing asbestos and environmental consultancy with that has large presence across the UK currently requires the services of a smart, tenacious, conscientious and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Croydon area. The ideal applicant will hold the P401 certificate and will have experience carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples within a laboratory setting. Consideration will be given to applications from Bromley, Grays, Romford, Mitcham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The post-holder must have attained the P401 qualification and at the same time must have significant, valid and varied experience working within this role and within the asbestos arena.
Must have excellent communication and IT skills.

Purpose of the Role:

Analysing and reporting on the fibre content of samples submitted by clients.

Specific Aspects of the Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory, preparing samples for analysis, carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content and reporting analytical findings.
Completing analysis test sheets accurately as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.
Using and maintaining the laboratory equipment.
Getting involved with other laboratory duties as and when required.
