Job Description

Due to expansion, this UKAS accredited with a large presence and good turnover, currently requires the services of a high calibre and committed Asbestos Lab Analyst based in or around the Doncaster area. The ideal candidate will hold experience in undertaking the preparation of samples, logging samples, Completing analyst test sheets efficiently and effectively and the delivery of results to clients and customers. Applications from Sheffield, Worksop, Barnsley and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must possess the P401 asbestos qualification.
Will have supervisory/management experience within an asbestos lab setting.
A strong technical, quality, audits, and laboratory background essential.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.

Key Responsibilities:

All analytical instrumentation/equipment used is to be maintained regularly.
Manage, train and develop staff as required.
Ensure working environment is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Compliance with all the Health and Safety requirements of your role.
Overseeing the laboratory team and ensuring work is carried out effectively.
Ensure samples are appropriately dealt with and stored correctly.
Monitoring of work carried out and maintaining stocks with regards to materials, etc.
Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
Carrying out audit checks.
Ensuring that the quality systems are carried out in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies.
Building and maintaining a good relationship with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
