Job Description

Our client is a recognised name within the asbestos industry known for providing a range of services to clients across the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced, qualified and committed Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Glasgow area. They are looking for applicants who hold the P401 asbestos certificate with experience carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples. Applications from East Kilbride, Livingston, Hamilton, Cumbermauld and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P401 asbestos certificate and at the same time.
Must have a proven experience working within this role in a laboratory environment and within the asbestos field.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Key Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
Preparing samples for analysis.
Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
Reporting analytical findings.
Completing analysis test sheets accurately as and when required.
Getting involved with other laboratory duties as and when required.
Ensuring the equipment is kept clean and maintained.
