Job Description

Our client is an established asbestos company and due to continued success they are now looking for an enthusiastic Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy office/laboratory in and around the Tyne and wear area. The candidate would be undertaking daily tasks such as Logging samples once received into the laboratory, preparing samples for analysis, and complying with UKAS documentation and Asbestos Quality procedures. Applications from Newcastle, Durham, Gateshead, Sunderland and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will hold the P401 certificate.
Experience in a lab based environment preferably within the asbestos industry.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received into the laboratory.
Preparing samples and carrying out analysis for fibre content.
Completing record forms and typing certificates of analysis.
Complying with UKAS documentation and the Asbestos Quality Control Procedures.
Getting involved with any other laboratory duties as required.
