Due to expansion in workload and business requirement, this well established and fast growing asbestos consultancy is actively seeking to employ a good calibre and focused Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy office/laboratory in West Midlands and will include applications from Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and must have a proven track record working within this role and within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and will be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Key Role

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory, preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Completing record forms and typing certificates of analysis as and when required and ensuring that workload is completed within time line.

Complying with UKAS documentation and the Asbestos Quality Control Procedures.

Getting involved with other laboratory duties and other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

In general, the applicant will be self-motivated, flexible, have good work ethic and good attention to detail.
