Job Description

Due to present business requirement, this UKAS accredited asbestos company with a large presence across the UK is currently seeking to employ a part-time Asbestos Lab Analyst in West Midlands region. Undertaking daily duties such as Logging samples correctly once received at the lab, completing analysis test sheets and preparing samples ready for analysis. Applications from Worcester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and at the same time must have prior relevant experience working within this role in a laboratory/office environment and within the asbestos field

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Key Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time line.

Getting involved with any other adhoc duties as and when required.

In general, the successful applicant will be competent, flexible, have good work ethic and good attention to detail and manage workload effectively.
