Job Title: Asbestos Operations Manager
Location: Nottingham, East Midlands
Salary / Benefits £30k – £45k + Bonus Scheme + Car Allowance + Pension

Expanding Asbestos Consultancy with over 20 year’s experience providing Asbestos, Health & Safety and CDM services are currently looking to recruit a methodical and professional Asbestos Operations Manager to join their Midlands Office. A good understanding of Healthcare sites and associated legislation is desirable, as you will be overseeing a portfolio of predominately Healthcare sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the pricing of asbestos works, managing a team of site staff and providing ongoing support and advice to clients. In return, our client can offer generous pension contributions, paid milage, and car allowance, alongside a competitive basic salary.

Applications will be considered from: Mansfield, Worksop, Chesterfield, Matlock, Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Leek, Burton-On-Trent, Coalville, Loughborough, Leicester, Market Harborough and those with good access to the East Midlands / M1 area.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Ideally educated to degree level.
” Will hold a minimum of the P402 / P405 qualifications.
” Previous / current experience working on Healthcare contracts and a good technical knowledge of associated legislation.
” Experienced working in a client facing role and well rehearsed in providing consultancy advice and support to clients.
” Strong IT skills – including Microsoft Packages.
” Good written and verbal skills – with an empathises on formulating and writing technical reports for clients.

The Role:
” Pricing up Asbestos Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys.
” Managing and Coordinating the Asbestos Abatement process.
” Sourcing, Pricing and Costing of removal works.
” Overseeing and providing ongoing support to asbestos site staff; managing work load, and providing further training in line with company needs.
” Organising the works programme, scheduling in work.
” Undertaking audits and regular inspections of work.
” Attending meetings in line with company / client needs, ensuring that projects are running in line with agreed timeframe.
” Liaising with clients to provide consultancy advice and recommendation on further works needed.
” Getting involved in recruiting new staff.
” Writing of RAMS and being involved in Quality control, Method statements and Risk assessments when needed.
