Job Description
Due to current state of the business this prominent and rapidly expanding asbestos company that specializes in asbestos and environmental testing, asbestos surveying and consultancy presently requires the services of an enthusiastic, commercially focused and self-driven Asbestos Regional Manager based in the Central Belt of Scotland and will include applications from Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally the applicant must possess the CCP asbestos qualification as a minimum and must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos industry.
Must have hands on asbestos surveying and air-monitoring.
Must come from a strong educational, office, technical, consultancy, sales, operational, office and management background.
Must be well versed with the asbestos industry with regards to asbestos.
Must have good communication, client facing and people management, and leadership, organizational and presentational skills.
Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Key Responsibilities:
Getting involved with recruitment, training and developing staff and ensuing that the procedures are followed with regards to appraisals, etc.
Tending to staff – Allocation of jobs.
Attending meetings regularly and reporting any issues.
Holding meetings with staff and keeping them informed of any company issues or matters.
Monitoring targets and achieving continuous profit goals.
Winning new contracts – cross selling the company’s other services to clients/customers, whilst still managing existing accounts.
Collating information for the accounts/finance team and dealing with any queries effectively.
Assisting sales team.
Providing quotes and tenders.
Key Performance Indicators
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.
Reviewing the company’s activities and ensuring work is completed within time line and budget.
Liaising with Quality Management and ensuring all that all work carried out is of high quality and performance.
Ensuring that their Management Systems run smoothly, which would include Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Operational?
Resourcing, assisting and managing contracts.
Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed.
Training of staff and getting involved with the appraisals.
