Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Newcastle, Tyne and Wear
Salary / Benefits: £24k – 36k + Company Vehicle, Benefits, Training
Level Experience: Trainee Asbestos Surveyor through to Lead Asbestos Consultant

Independent and Privately Owned Asbestos Consultancy currently has a vacancy for an experience P402 Asbestos Surveyor. You will be travelling across the North East of England undertaking asbestos surveys to Commercial, Industrial and Domestic contracts. Previous experience within the asbestos industry and up to date knowledge of HSG guidelines in essential to the role. For the right candidate, the client can offer the opportunity to gain further P certs or cross train into other environmental sectors.

Applicants will be in commutable distance of the following areas: Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, South Shields, North Shields, Whitely Bay, Seaton Sluice, Blyth, Ashington, Cramlington, Gateshead, Washington, Sunderland, Chester-Le-Street, Seaham, Consett, Durham, Houghton le Spring.

Qualifications / Experience:
– BOHS P402 or equivalent RSPH qualification.
– Experienced in undertaking to Management, Demolition, and Refurbishment Surveys to UKAS standard.
– Confident in the use of PDA.
– Experience using TEAMS / TRACKER software.
– Good working knowledge of HSG 264.

Role / Responsibilities:
– Undertaking Management, Demolition / Refurbishment surveys to contacts across the North East region.
– Working across Commercial, Industrial and Domestic sites.
– Bulk Sampling of suspected ACMs.
– Producing accurate asbestos site reports, using TEAMS / TRACKER and handheld PDAs.
– Providing a high level of customer service to the company’s clients.
