Job Description

Due to the acquisition of several new contracts, our client, a well-established asbestos and environmental consultancy is now hoping to employ an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to work on a variety of contracts in and around the Edinburgh area. Undertaking daily tasks such as building and maintaining a professional working relationship with the company’s clients and supervising contractors on site to ensure compliance with asbestos health & safety procedures. Consideration will be given to applications from Cumbernauld, Kirkaldy, Fife, Falkirk and the Scottish Borders.

Qualifications & experience:

Must possess P402, P403, P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualifications.
Experience in surveying and air-monitoring within the asbestos sector.
Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Competent with Microsoft office package.

Role:

Undertake Asbestos Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on various properties including domestic and commercial.
Carry out Asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual, 4 stage clearances, re-occupation and personal air testing.
Supervise contractors on site to ensure compliance with asbestos health & safety procedures.
Collate information to produce asbestos reports.
Build and maintain a professional working relationship with the company’s clients.
