Our client is an asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for providing professional and high-quality services to clients across the UK. This company is currently seeking the services of a high calibre, committed and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in and around the Chelmsford area. The ideal applicant will hold the P402/3/4 qualifications and will be experienced in carrying out asbestos surveying and analytical duties on a range of site types. Consideration will be given to applications from Brentwood, Southend-on-Sea, Romford, Ilford and the surrounding areas.

Purpose of the Role:

Covering a mixed bag of contracts in the South East – as per client’s requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P402, P403, P404 qualifications the equivalent – RSPH qualifications.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must have sound knowledge of the Health and Safety legislation pertaining to asbestos.

Responsibilities Will Entail:

Conducting asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various properties, including commercial and industrial.

Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual, 4 stage clearances and re-occupation and personal air-testing.

Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they adhere with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Producing comprehensive and accurate asbestos reports

Liaising with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients on a regular basis and dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.

Attributes/Requirements:

Overall, the successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, flexible, have good work ethic and at the same time have the aptitude to work independently and complete workload within time line.

Must be flexible with regards to travelling.
