Job Description

Our client is a leading asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering a specialist range of asbestos management service to a diverse portfolio of clients. They are currently seeking a multi-skilled and hardworking Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in and around the Glasgow area. The ideal applicant will hold the P402/3/4 certificates and will be experienced in carrying out surveying and air monitoring duties on a range of site types. Candidates who hold the P402 and considerable asbestos surveying experienced may be considered if looking for progression in a dual qualified role. Applications from East Kilbride, Paisley, Cumbermauld, Hamilton and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will possess the P402, P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
Have significant experience working within an asbestos surveying and air-testing/air-monitoring within the asbestos industry.
Experience with managing own work load and providing a consultancy service to clients would be advantageous
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing on various properties.
Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various sites – commercial and industrial.
Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they comply with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
Collating and producing asbestos reports as and when required.
Establishing and maintaining a good working rapport with the company’s portfolio of clients.
