Job Description

A prominent and busy client based and UKAS accredited consultancy that specializes in asbestos and environmental disciplines is actively seeking the services of a high calibre and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in and around the Newcastle-upon-Tyne area. The ideal candidate will hold the P402/3/4 certificates and will be experienced in carrying out Surveying and Analytical duties on a range of site/contract types. Consideration will be given to applications from Durham, Consett, Gateshead, Whitley Bay and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The individual must possess the P402, P403 and P404 or the equivalent – RSPH qualifications and at the same time must have extensive experience working within this role and within the asbestos parameter.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package
Must be well versed with the Health & Safety procedures appertaining to asbestos.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing on various properties, including commercial and industrial.
Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys.
Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they adhere to the Health and Safety procedures with pertaining to asbestos.
Collating and producing comprehensive reports.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.

In general, the successful post-holder versatile, flexible , of smart disposition, have good work ethic and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and at the same time must be flexible with regards to travelling to site designated by the client.
