Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a nationally known Asbestos Consultancy who provide professional asbestos services to clients throughout the UK. They now seek the services of an experienced, qualified and dedicated Asbestos Surveyor based in and around the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will hold the P402 asbestos certificate and will be experienced in carrying out asbestos surveying duties on a range of site and contract types. Consideration will be given to applications from Chippenham, Bath, Portishead, Stroud and the surrounding areas would be considered

Essential Experience & Qualifications

The applicant must have attained the P402 or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
Will have significant practical experience in asbestos surveying and within the asbestos industry.
Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be competent in using the computer.

Duties of the Postholder:

Carrying out asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various buildings – both commercial and industrial.
Collating and producing comprehensive asbestos reports – recording site details.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.
Complying to the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
Dealing with any issues effectively and appropriately.

In general, the ideal applicant will be committed and hardworking, with an adaptable approach to work and the ability to work independently and as part of an established team.
The successful postholder must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client’s requirement.
