Job Description

Our client is an acclaimed asbestos consultancy renowned for their outstanding provision of professional asbestos services to clients across the UK. This company is actively recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Asbestos Surveyor based in and area the Norwich area. The successful candidate will hold the P402 asbestos certificate and will be skilled in carrying out asbestos surveying duties on a range of site and contract types. Consideration will be given to applications from Lowestoft, Attleborough, Swaffham, Stalham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

The applicant must have attained the P402 or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
Will have significant practical experience in asbestos surveying and within the asbestos industry.
Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have proficient IT skills, including competency using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities within the role:

Carrying out asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various buildings – both commercial and industrial.
Collating and producing comprehensive asbestos reports – recording site details.
Building and maintaining a professional working rapport with clients and colleagues of all levels.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
Addressing any issues effectively and appropriately.

Personal attributes:

In general, the successful candidate will be reliable and self-motivated, with both the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
The postholder must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client’s requirement.
