Job Description

Due to winning major contracts, this highly successful UKAS accredited asbestos risk management company with a large presence in the Southern region is actively seeking to employ a self-motivated, competent and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to work on mixed bag of contracts in and aroung the London area. Applications from Dartford, Ashford, Chelmsford, Basildon and the surrounding areas will be considerd.

Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate must have attained the P402, P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent – RSPH and must have significant demonstrable experience in asbestos surveying and air-monitoring/air-testing and within the asbestos sector.

Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal and at the same time will be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Tasks Will Include:

Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual 4 stage clearance and re-occupation and personal air-testing on properties.

Monitoring contractors on site carrying out asbestos removal work and ensuring that they carry out the work in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures.

Carrying out asbestos Management and Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various buildings – commercial and industrial

Providing accurate and comprehensive asbestos reports as and when required.

Developing and building a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.

In general, the post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be flexible with regards to travelling to sites designated by the client.
