Job Description

Job Title: Fire Damper Engineer.
Level of experience: Assistant Fire Damper Engineer though to Lead Fire Damper Engineer.
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester.
Salary / Benefits £24k – £36k + Training + Benefits

Our client is a nationally recognised provider of Fire Damper / Fire Safety services. They are now looking to take on a Fire Damper Engineer to cover Hospitality, Educational, Healthcare, and Industrial sites across the North West region. You will be able to confidently carry out the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire dampers, fire door inspections, and using information from site to produce detailed technical reports for clients when required. Due to the nature of the role, our client would consider an Assistant Fire Damper Engineer as they are recruiting for multiple positions, both assistant and lead. Candidates will have good access to the M56 corridor and surrounding areas: Warrington, Macclesfield, Crewe, Buxton, Warrington, Altringham, Widnes, Liverpool, Bootle, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Birkenhead, St Helens, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn, Burnley, Blackpool.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Holding an industry recognised qualification e.g., BESA Fire Damper certificate would be beneficial to the role.
” Experience working hands on as a Fire Damper Engineer for a reputable fire safety company.
” Extensive knowledge of BS 9999 guidelines.
” Good IT skills.
” Able to organise workload in line with company and client needs.

The Role:
” Attending Hospitality, Educational, Healthcare, and Industrial sites to carry out maintenance, installation, and servicing of fire dampers.
” Assessing fire dampers to ensure they are in safe working conditions.
” Carrying out fire door inspections.
” Carrying out fault finding on site, ensuring that any issues are rectified in a timely manner.
” Ensuring work is being carried out in line with BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines.
” Using information from site to produce accurate and detailed site-specific reports.
” Liaising with clients, providing excellent technical support and advice on the condition of fire dampers.
