Job Title: Health & Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits £30k – £45k + Training + Benefits

Our client is a renowned and independent Health and Safety Consultancy who are now seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor. You will be covering Commercial, Industrial, Manufacturing, and Retail contracts across the North of England. This role would suit a candidate who has an extensive background working within the Health and Safety / Fire Risk Assessing industry, and experience carrying out H&S site audits in line with client needs, providing excellent consultancy advice, and producing detailed reports based on site findings. Due to the nature of the contracts, the successful candidate must be willing to travel within the role in line with client needs. This role would suit a candidate looking to join a forward-thinking company who are invested in their employee’s progression.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Shields, Tynemouth, Gateshead, Stoke on Trent, Redcar, Hartlepool, Peterlee, Durham, Consett, Hexham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Middlesbrough, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Darlington, Barnard Castle, Ashington, Morpeth, Alnwick.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will have a strong background in Health and Safety and will have experience working for an established consultancy.
” Will hold the NEBOSH general qualification.
” Will ideally hold a NEBOSH fire or recognised fire risk assessing qualification.
” Would ideally hold GradIOSH, TechIOSH or CMIOSH.
” Fully conversant and able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Health & Safety legislations.
” Will have excellent communication skills.
” Able to work well in a busy environment and will be adaptable in line with company / client needs.
” Good IT skills.

The Role:
” Carrying out Health & Safety / Risk Assessment audits on a mixed range of sites.
” Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments in line with client needs.
” Ensuring work carried out complies with safe working practices.
” Providing clients with detailed Health and Safety / Fire Risk Assessment reports.
” Liaising with clients routinely, providing excellent consultancy advice and support.
” Carrying out investigations on site when required.
” Working in accordance with Health and Safety legislations.
