Job Description
Here is a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre Lead Legionella Consultant to join a prestigious and fast-growing water hygiene/water treatment company in Bristol and will include applications from Gloucester, Birmingham, Bridgewater, West Bromwich and the surrounding areas. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who has extensive experience in undertaking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 on a wide range of site bases, including cooling towers. The successful candidate will also have a proven track record of working within a customer facing consultant role within the legionella industry.
The applicant must have attended an approved Risk Assessment course, either the City and Guilds or WMS accredited course and at the same time must have previous relevant and significant experience working within this role and within the legionella industry.
Will ideally be educated to degree level.
Will come from a legionella consultancy background and have experience in client management.
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have good client facing and organisational skills.
Must be fully conversant with the water hygiene industry and legislation.
Key Role Will Encompass:
Overseeing staff and providing consultancy services to the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents and reports required by clients/customers.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Carrying out work in accordance with the company’s procedures and standards, Health & Safety, legislation and procedures.
Liaising with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients and management.
Get involved with training and Health & Safety.
In general, the successful candidate will be flexible, committed, have good work ethos and have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these and at the same time have the ability to complete risk assessments in detail and within a fixed timeline.
Must be flexible with regards to travelling to sites.
