Position: Legionella Risk Assessor
Location of Work: Yorkshire / North West
Salary / Benefits: £25k – £36k + Training & Benefits
Successful Legionella Company with long-standing clients across the North are currently recruiting for a qualified Legionella Risk Assessor to work on Public and Private contracts across the North West and Yorkshire area. Must be confident in undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments to Hot and Cold-water systems and advising clients on recommendations to ensure compliance with HGS and L8 guidelines. Experience working on healthcare sites would be beneficial but not essential as full training can be provided. In return, the client can offer an above industry salary, training into other compliance sectors and regional work.
The client is open to applications from candidates with good access to the M62 / North West and Yorkshire regions and are happy to receive from those based in Greater Manchester, St Helens, Leigh, Bolton, Warrington, Stretford, Stockport, Rochdale, Oldham, Hyde, Chorley, Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Lancaster, Crewe, Macclesfield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications:
” Will hold City & Guild or equivalent qualification in Legionella Risk Assessments.
” Previous / similar experience working as a Risk Assessor within a Water Hygiene / Legionella company.
” Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG 274 and HTM 04-01.
” Good technical knowledge of Hot and Cold-Water Systems (required).
” Experience working on Process Water Systems (desirable).
” Able to manage own work schedule.
” Good IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:
” Carrying out Risk Assessment surveys on both Hot and Cold-Water systems to comply with ACoP L8, HSG 274 and HTM 04-01 guidelines.
” Working across a range of site bases including small domestic / commercial systems, as well as larger more complex healthcare systems, right through to process and industrial water systems.
” Producing clear and precise Risk Assessment reports with recommendations for any corrective works needed to make system compliant.
” Using AutoCAD software to produce floor plans / Schematic drawings.
” Using your excellent communications skills to liaise with customers and colleagues at all levels.
” When needed undertaking sampling and monitoring tasks.
