Job Description

Our client is a dynamic and highly successful and fast growing company providing market leading levels of services in water and environmental to a diverse range of customers/clients. Due to current state of the business, they are actively seeking the services of a self-motivated, competent, committed and multi-skilled Legionella Risk Assessor in the Barking area and will include applications from Stratford, Walthamstow, Romford, Ilford and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant will ideally have attended an approved Risk Assessment course – City & Guilds and must have previous working knowledge of ACOP L8 and significant experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/Water Hygiene industry – ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background.

Good experience in chemical treatment of cooling towers, tank cleans and chlorination, monitoring and temperature checks, TMV’s , shower cleaning, etc. and must have good working knowledge of commercial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Coming from a plumbing background would be beneficial.

Aspects of the Role:

Covering contracts designated by the client.

Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents f or clients/customers.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes, quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.

Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.

Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.

Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, tanks clean, chlorination, refurbishment & disinfections, shower cleaning, TMV’s, etc.

Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems and interpreting the results.

Liaising with the company’s large and mixed portfolio of clients on a regular basis.

Ensuring work is completed within time frame and dealing with issues promptly and effectively.

Carrying out any plumbing work as and when required.
