Job Description
Our client is part of a large multi-disciplined organisation, who provides a range of specialised water treatment, legionella and asbestos services to a large and mixed portfolio of clients across the UK. Due to present business requirements, they are now seeking the services of high calibre, self-motivated and multi-skilled Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team in and around the Birmingham area. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who has extensive experience and the ability to hit the ground running. Consideration will be given to applications from Worcester, Wolverhampton, Redditch, and the surrounding areas.
The applicant must have attended an approved Risk Assessment course and will hold the City and Guilds or WMS legionella risk assessing qualification.
Will have previous relevant and significant experience working within a legionella risk assessor role and within the industry.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have good client facing and organisational skills.
Must be fully conversant with the water hygiene industry and legislation.
Key Role Will Encompass:
Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments
Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents and reports required by clients/customers.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Collating information and writing up accurate reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
Carrying out work in accordance with the company’s procedures and standards, Health & Safety, legislation and procedures.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients and management.
Must be prepared to travel extensively.
In general, the successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, have good work ethos and have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these and have the aptitude to complete risk assessments in more detailed manner and within time frame.
Must have the ability to multi-task.
