Our client is a respectable water treatment/hygiene company providing a range of high-end water hygiene and legionella duties to a diverse client base. The company are currently looking for an experienced and hardworking Legionella Risk Assessor to work for them in or around the Cardiff area. The successful candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background, with experience undertaking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines. Applications from Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Cwmbran and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:

Must hold City & Guilds/WMS, Legionella Control Association certificates.
A good working knowledge of domestic, commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations.
Extensive experience of carrying out risk assessments in line with ACOP – L8 is essential within the water treatment/hygiene industry.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft office package.

Responsibilities within the role:

Produce schematic drawings, comprehensive reports and final documents.
Monthly temperature testing, water sampling, surveys of water systems and supplies within the guidelines of ACOP L8.
Attend meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments to ACOP L8.
Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety and company procedures.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measure through quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
Build and maintain a professional working relationship with clients.
