Job Description

This fast growing and diverse water treatment company that provides a broad range and professional services to clients is presently looking for a smart, articulate and committed Legionella Risk Assessor to join their busy team in Chelmsford and will include applications from Southend-on-Sea, Romford, Harlow, Braintree and the surrounding areas.


The applicant must have attended an approved Legionella Risk Assessment course, ideally City and Guilds or have had internal training courses and at the same time must extensive experience working within this role and within the water industry.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and organizational

Must have excellent client facing and organizational skills.

Must be well versed with the water hygiene industry and legislation.

Have a good working knowledge of the commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing this.

Role Will Encompass:

Conducting Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents and reports required by clients.

Dealing with any issues effectively.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.

Conducting monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Conducting survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.

Collating information and writing up accurate reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.

Carrying out the work in accordance with the company’s procedures and standards and Health & Safety, legislation and procedures.

Building and maintaining a good working rapport with clients/customers.

In general, the successful candidate will be positive, organised with a strong work ethic.

Must have the ability to multi-task and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
