Job Description
Due to present business requirements, this high profile and client-based water treatment/legionella consultancy, with a good presence throughout the UK, is actively seeking the services of a tenacious, high calibre and multi-skilled Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around Swindon area. They are looking for an individual who has significant experience in undertaking legionella risk assessment in line with ACOP on a wide range of site bases. Consideration will be given to Legionella Risk Assessors from a consultancy background. Applications will be considered from Bath, Buckingham, Oxford, Chippenham and the surrounding areas. This role will entail covering a mixed bag of contracts across the UK, hence the successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively.
Requirements:
The applicant must have attended an approved Risk Assessment course, either the City and Guilds or WMS accredited course and at the same time must have significant experience working within this role and within the legionella industry.
Will have hands on experience in carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments.
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have good client facing and organizational skills.
Must be fully conversant with the water hygiene industry and legislation – in-dept knowledge.
Role Will Encompass:
Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Collating and producing accurate reports
Attending meetings – discussing findings of reports, etc., with clients.
Liaising with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.

Overall, the successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and at the same time have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these and have the ability to work on own initiative.
