Job Description

Our client is a well-established water treatment/water hygiene company currently looking to recruit an experienced and hard-working Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Hygiene Engineer to work on a variety of contracts in the North West region. Applications from Liverpool, Manchester, Blackburn, Kendal and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

The applicant will have attended an approved Risk Assessment course such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a legionella risk assessor/water hygiene engineer role.
Good working knowledge of commercial water systems, supplies and ACOP L8.
Competent with Microsoft Office Package.
Excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients/customers.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes and quotations.
Surveying of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, tank cleans, refurbishment & disinfections etc.
Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
Maintenance and servicing of TMV’s, showerheads etc.
Building and maintaining a professional working relationship with clients.
