Job Description

Our client is one of the top players within the water treatment industry and they are now actively looking to recruit a competent and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Reading area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong water treatment background and will be well-versed in carrying out legionella risk assessments and water treatment duties such as temperature monitoring and TMV servicing on a range of site types. Applications from Slough, Guildford, Basingstoke, Bracknell and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

Ideally, will hold the City & Guilds, WMS certificate or relevant qualification.
Previous experience in this role within the water treatment/hygiene/Legionella industry.
A good working knowledge of health & safety legislation in relation to water.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
IT Literate

Role:

Performing routine sampling, analysis of water systems and recording the results.
Legionella risk assessments to ACOP L8.
Temperature monitoring, showerhead cleans and TMV servicing.
Providing recommendations, quotations, routine control measures and carrying out remedial works.
Understanding of schematic drawings of hot and cold water systems and cold water storage tank inspections.
Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, disinfections, chemical dosing systems etc.
Establish a good relationship with the company’s portfolio of new and existing clients.
Water softener, pump and dosing pot installations.
