Job Description

Our client is a versatile and multi-disciplined company providing a variety of professional disciplines to various clients nationwide is now urgently looking to recruit a competent and experienced Occupational Hygienist based in and around the Birmingham area. The ideal postholder will have a background in occupational hygiene and will be experienced carrying out a range of compliance duties such as air monitoring and LEV testing. Ideally they will also hold the P601 certificate. Applications from Walsall, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Solihull and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in COSHH Risk Assessment, Local Exhaust Ventilation Testing, Workplace Air Monitoring, Noise Hand Arm Vibration, Whole Body Vibration, Indoor Air Quality and Legionella.
Will have a strong technical and consultancy background and previous experience in the industries involved.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be a qualified, experienced Occupational Hygienist- holding BIOH/IOA/W501/503 or equivalent qualification.
Holding the 601 qualification would be beneficial.

Duties within the role:

The work will involve undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality and legionella.
Undertaking LEV emissions testing.
Carrying out site assessments.
Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
Managing projects/accounts effectively.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
