Job Description

This rapidly expanding health & safety services company currently have a vacancy for an experienced occupational hygienist based in the Harrow area. Applications from Watford, Edgware, Wembley, Hayes and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Needs to have BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications and consultancy experience.
Holding a qualification in general Health & Safety (i.e. – NEBOSH Certificate) would be beneficial.
A good working knowledge of the relevant disciplines involved.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures within the asbestos industry.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft office package.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake a range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing indoor air quality.
Compliance to MCERTS standards.
Manage projects and contracts effectively.
Emissions testing, site assessments.
Liaise with the company’s clients on a regular basis maintaining a professional working relationship.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
