An opportunity has arisen within a respected water hygiene company known for providing outstanding water hygiene and legionella duties to a mixed portfolio of clients. This company is looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Cambridge area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background with experience carrying out a range of routine tasks such as cleaning and cleaning on hot and cold water systems as well as water sampling and temperature monitoring. Applications from Ely, St. Neots, Biggleswade, Bury St. Edmunds and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the applicant will come from a good educational, chemical background.
Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Will hold a City & Guilds qualification – water treatment and legionella – L8.
Must have previous experience working within this role and the water treatment/water hygiene industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out remedial and maintenance works on commercial water systems, chemical dosing units and others.
Monitoring the client’s air and water systems ensuring they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, cooling towers and shower heads.
Temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Maintenance including chlorination’s and disinfections on water systems.
Building & maintaining a good working relationships with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
Collating and producing accurate and comprehensive service reports.

Overall the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic as well as contributing their valuable experience and knowledge to an established team. All prospective candidates must be prepared to travel as per the clients requirements.
