Job Description

Our client is an outstanding water hygiene consultancy with an excellent reputation for providing water hygiene services to a diverse client base. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and versatile Water Hygiene Engineer to to join their team in the Cardiff area covering a range of contracts across Wales. The successful candidate will be experienced in undertaking routine water hygiene duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring and tank cleaning. Previous experience carrying out closed system and cooling tower analysis would be beneficial to this role. Applications from Newport, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Cwmbran and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

Previous practical experience working in this role within the water treatment/hygiene industry.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft office package.
Working in this role within the Health Sector beneficial.

Duties of the position:

Monitor the client’s air and water systems to ensure they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out closed system and cooling tower analysis as well as cleaning, chlorination and disinfection.
Provide temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Maintain and install dosing systems.
Descaling showers.
Inspection and Disinfection of CWST.
Legionella and TVC sampling.
Servicing TMVs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic and the initiative to work independently as well as part of an established team.
Prospective candidates must also be prepared to travel extensively as part of the role.
