Job Description
Our client is a fast growing and dynamic water treatment water Hygiene Company specializing in various water disciplines, including legionella and due to current state of the business, they are now looking for a competent, committed and multi-skilled Water Hygiene Engineer in the East Central London and will include applications from Greenwich, Woolwich, Lewisham, Stratford and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience:
The individual must come from a strong chemical background and must have previous relevant experience working within this role and within the water hygiene/legionella industry.
Having hands on experience on sampling.
Must be well-versed with the water treatment industry – ACOP L8 and also have the right qualifications – Legionella – ACOP 8.
Plumbing experience and qualifications would be beneficial.
Working in public sectors, including hospitals and commercial properties.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and will be IT literate.
Key Responsibilities:
Working on prestigious sites/buildings – on-site analysis and maintenance and will include the following:
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, boilers and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems – closed systems and interpreting the results.
Cleaning and disinfection of CWSTs.
Carrying out legionella sampling, risk assessments, TVC’s, etc.
Working and maintaining specialist systems.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment – chemical as and when required.
Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.
Overall, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to work independently and at the same time carry out the work effectively and within time line.
Must be prepared to work within confined space and heights.
