Job Description

Our client is a well-respected water management company known for their delivery of high-end water services to a diverse portfolio of clients. They are now seeking a multi-skilled and committed Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the London area. The successful postholder will be experienced in carrying out routine water hygiene duties such as cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold systems as well as tank cleans. Applications from Bromley, Twickenham, Croydon, Epsom and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Essential experience & qualifications

The applicant must possess City & Guilds qualification and at the same time must have significant experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
Must come from a good educational and chemical background.
Must have hands on experience on plumbing
Must be fully conversant with current guidelines – (ACOP L8).
Must have good communication skills, both written and client-facing skills.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, boilers and cooling towers, de scaling and tank cleans.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems, closed water analysis, and interpreting the results at the same time.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
Carrying out plumbing work – installation.
Carrying out TMV servicing.
Carrying audits – Completing paperwork for works undertaken appropriately.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.
Travelling to sites as per client’s requirements.

Attributes:

In general, the successful post-holder will be tenacious, focused, have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time scale.
Must be flexible with regards to travelling.
