Job Description

A prominent, dynamic and fast growing water treatment company with a huge presence across the country and at the same time with a commitment to providing professional services to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking for a committed and hardworking Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in undertaking a range of water hygiene duties such as TMV servicing, water sampling and temperature monitoring. Consideration will be given to applications from Bury, Rochdale, Stockport, Altrincham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must come from a good chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background and at the same time must have vast and varied experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
Must be well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation.
Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Tasks:

Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems.
Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
Providing accurate reports and maintaining paper work.
Liaising with clients on a regular basis – building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.

Requirements/Attributes:

Overall the successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible and reliable and have the ability to work on own initiative and under pressure and must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
