Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £35k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber through to Lead Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber

Profile: A leading Water Hygiene / Legionella companies with a strong presence across the South East are now seeking to recruit a hardworking and qualified Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry, working across Care Home, Retail, Healthcare, High security, and Leisure centre sites. The successful candidate will be carrying out a range water hygiene duties, in line with ACoP L8 guidelines, alongside, various plumbing duties such as Hot cylinder servicing, deadleg removals and pre-planned remedial task.

Due to the nature of this role, the candidate must be happy to carry out travel extensively.

Experience & Qualifications:
” At a minimum will hold the City and Guilds / NVQ L2/L3 in plumbing.
” Having hands on experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry is essential to the role.
” Able to demonstrate excellent communication and team work skills.
” Will have a keen eye for details.
” Competent in using PDA / Tablet systems to produce detailed reports.
” Confidently working in line with relevant ACoP L8 / Health and Safety guidelines.
The Role:
” Working on a mixed portfolio of sites, carrying out Water sampling, Temperature monitoring and TMV servicing and replacements.
” Showerhead descales and cleans.
” Diagnosing faults on sites and carrying out pre-planned remedial tasks.
” Hot cylinder servicing, CWST cleans and refurbishments.
” Modifying PVC / Copper pipework as requires.
” Undertaking deadleg removals and tank installations.
” Using PDA / Tablet systems to produce detailed site-specific reports and efficiently communicating with clients, providing technical advice where needed.
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety / ACoP L8 guidelines.
